The employees of a healthcare association are enjoying a newly-renovated office with Whitegoods lighting throughout! This workplace, designed by OTJ Architects, focuses on team member wellness, with a variety of private and interactive spaces to choose from depending on the need, along with prayer rooms, mothers’ rooms, and gender-neutral restrooms.

Sarah Richter, Principal at Sarah Richter Design, applied a vision for a contemporary and health-affirming office featuring light fixtures carefully selected to meet rigorous WELL standards for low-glare, high CRI (color-rendering index), and flicker-free dimming. Linear and downlight luminaires maximize employee comfort and productivity by providing light suitable to complete tasks, while reducing eye strain and elevating mood, in addition to enhancing the sophisticated style of the new space. The lighting controls system allows for adjustments to improve light quality and conserve energy.

An elevator bank accented with ProTools 60 Linear Perimeter soft graze welcomes employees and visitors. ProTools 60 Linear Perimeter is an integrated solution compatible with all ceiling types. Perimeter lighting is a masterful way to ‘float’ the ceiling plane off the wall surface, while concealing the light source and providing usable light.

The lobby is a bright and modern space featuring 20 Linear Perimeter on the wood feature wall behind the reception desk. This perimeter luminaire offers a continuous line of light to define interior spaces, and the soft-graze option controls textured wall contrast and accommodates feature wall thickness.

1.5 inch ProTools Downlights (PTD 1.5) were installed throughout the office ceiling. PTD 1.5 is a family of very small-aperture, low brightness downlights created to provide general and accent illumination. This range features high-lumen output, excellent color rendition, and multiple housing styles to accommodate a variety of applications and ceiling types. A Unified Glare Rating (UGR) of less than 16 meets WELL building criteria.

All three of the Whitegoods products featured in this project are manufactured in Baltimore, Maryland and the two linear products are Buy American compliant. Whitegoods provides a curated range of lighting tools that are easy to specify, install, and maintain, and designed to make the absolute minimum visual impact on the space being illuminated. The employees of this renovated office space benefit from lighting that is attractive, effective, and conducive to wellness.
