Memphis Convention Center

Lighting by Whitegoods and Sattler unite to revitalize a convention center in Memphis, Tennessee. Following a $200M modernization, the Renasant Convention Center now offers 300,000 square feet of flexible meeting, exhibit and pre-function space in downtown Memphis. A few highlights are 46 breakout rooms and the 118,000-square-foot main exhibit hall, which can be subdivided into three spaces.

Enhancements to the convention center include hotel-quality finishes, modern amenities and spectacular lighting! Products from the Whitegoods 20 Linear range were selected for a few applications throughout the project due to the ability to be provided in exact increments with continuously illuminated lenses in straight runs or pattern configurations with corners. The Whitegoods product line encompasses a comprehensive range of minimal lighting tools, which utilize the form factor of LED to reduce their visual impact and blend seamlessly with the surrounding architecture.

20 Linear Suspended from Whitegoods is a slim and powerful suspended luminaire in fixed lengths that delivers accent light as well as functional illumination. Several of these fixtures were arranged in a zigzag pattern on the ceiling to complement the triangular design in front of the windows. These luminaries were installed between adjacent suspended ceiling panels with the lens flush to the ceiling plane to provide a ‘recessed’ appearance when viewed from below.

Whitegoods 20 Linear Recessed illuminates artwork in display cases throughout the building. This product family offers a wide variety of housing, optic and mounting choices to create a completely customized lighting solution. Options include regressed and flush lenses, opal and satin diffusers, and plaster and bezel trim.

Sattler offers an innovative portfolio of high-quality luminaires that make a visual impact. Circolo L serves as a feature pendant over the reception desk at the main entrance, and also provides vertical illumination to highlight the signage behind the desk. Circolo is characterized by a circular aluminum profile with an opal diffuser on the inside. Available in eight different sizes, twelve finish options and seven color choices for the power supply cable, each Circolo fixture can make a unique statement on its own.
